Sam Sato’s: Three Generations of Dry Mein in Wailuku

Family-run since 1933, hidden in the back of a Wailuku industrial complex. Order the dry mein and the manjū to go.

Sam Sato’s has been operating since 1933 and is now run by the third generation of the Sato family. The Dry Mein — noodles tossed with char siu, bean sprouts, and a small bowl of broth on the side — is the order. The manjū (sweet bean pastry) goes home with you whether you planned for it or not.
